Camilla Alves Biography

Camilla AlvesBrazilian beauty Camilla Alves is noted for her modeling career, but she has been thrust into the limelight most recently for her relationship with noted actor and Hollywood A-lister Matthew McConaughey.
Camilla Alves was born January 28, 1982 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Standing at 5 feet and 10 inches, Alves utilized her distinctive looks and her slim physique to enter the world of professional modeling.
And even though Alves enjoys a lot of success through that professional avenue, it is only recently that she has become the topic of online gossip blogs and magazines alike.
It was confirmed on McConaughey’s official website that the couple are indeed expecting their first child together.
As of mid-January, Alves is said to be about three months pregnant.
Further stirring the rumor pot, Alves has been spotted wearing a ring on her left ring finger that looks suspiciously like an engagement band. There is no confirmation from either camp, however, on the marriage question.
Confusing the issue, McConaughey has been vocal in the past on the general issue of marriage, stating that he believes in the institution but does not consider it a necessity. “A kid just needs a mom and a dad,” McConaughey stated in a recent issue of Hugh Hefner’s famous mag, Playboy.
The happy news doesn’t come as too large of a shock, however, for those that have followed the couple’s history. Alves is the only girl to finally get McConaughey, long considered a lifetime bachelor, to clean up his famous “bachelor pad,” which was little more than a trailer situated on the beach. In an uncharacteristic move, McConaughey even made a public statement that he would sell his trailer and purchase a spacious mansion for Alves.
With Alves’ personal life looking up, it remains to be seen if her professional life will receive a similar boost from all the attention. She may just join the ranks of fellow Brazilian models Adriana Lima, Gisele Bundchen, and Isabeli Fontana to become one of the most famous faces in modeling.
After much media interest during her pregnancy due to Matthew playing away from home and clubbing with friends, both male and female, Camila finally gave birth the the little boy that will now hopefully help tame his daddy, McConaughey.
The baby was born on July 8th 2008 in Los Angeles.

Kim Kardashian Biography

Kim-KardashianCurvaceous fashionista Kim Kardashian was born on October 21, 1980, in Los Angeles, California. Born of Armenian descent, Kardashian’s late father was OJ Simpson’s defense attorney Robert Kardashian. She has nine brothers and sisters, including three full siblings, two half-sisters, three step-brothers, and one step-sister. Kardashian’s step-father is 1976 Olympic Games gold medalist, Bruce Jenner, father of Princes of Malibu star Brody Jenner.
The Kardashians took part in the TV reality show “Keeping up with the Kardashians” staring Kim and her sisters and stepsisters as well as her mom and former Olymian stepdad Bruce Jenner.
Growing up in an affluent Los Angeles family, Kardashian received a car for her sixteenth birthday. Unlike her friends, however, Kardashian found herself cut off by her parents at age eighteen, as they wanted to instill a work ethic in their daughter. Kardashian befriended such socialites as Paris Hilton, Nicky Hilton, and Nicole Richie. Later on, these friends would also become some of her top clients when she founded the upscale Calabasas fashion boutique “Dash,” along with her sisters, Kourtney Kardashian and Khloe. Prior to opening her own store, Kardashian sold some of her top designer duds on e-bay.
In 2004, twenty-three-year-old Kardashian divorced from her husband, R&B producer, Damon Thomas. Much of Kardashian’s post-divorce romances with high-profile celebrities would prove to place her in the headlines, including relationships with Diddy, The Game, and Nick Lachey, shortly following his 2005 split from Jessica Simpson.
In early 2007, a sex tape hit the Internet starring Kardashian and boyfriend at the time, Ray J, little brother to Brandy Norwood. Although Kardashian admitted to the existence of the tape before it went public, she denied orchestrating the release of the tape for profit, claiming “I don’t need the money.” Adult film company, Vivid Entertainment, purchased the tape from an unknown source for $1 million, and reportedly plans to release the tape on DVD before February 28, 2007, under the title Kim Kardashian Superstar. The tape has also been posted on Kimksuperstar.com, and can be seen for a fee.
When notified of Vivid Entertainment’s distribution of the video, a rep for Kardashian said Kim would be taking legal action against anyone responsible for distributing the video. Kardashian and Ray had long since split, and the rapper had since been romantically linked to Lil’ Kim and and Whitney Houston.

Kardashian featured on the cover of Complex magazine’s February/March 2007 issue and went on to be Hugh Hefner’s Playboy magazine covergirl for December 2007.
In 2007 Kim begun shooting season two of her family’s hit reality show, Keeping up with the Kardashians.

Ever in demand for fashion shoots and products, Kim was signed as the model and spokesowman for Bongo jeans in 2008.  It’s rumored that her body was a little too voluptuous for Bongo, hence some photoshopping occurred in the ads.

In August 2008 Kim Kardashian added yet another role to her ever increasing resume, Dancing Queen, as she competed in the new season’s reality TV show, Dancing With The Stars!Kardashian began her dancing on September 22nd with professional dancer Mark Ballas but before the start of the show Kim was nursing a cut foot that had seen her taking a visit to the hospital.
Then on Good Morning America she revealed that she would battle on regardless and would be taking to the dance floor. But despite her dance partner, Mark’s dancing prowess he couldn’t make the rhythm retarded Kim lose her stiff dance style and take them to the finals. In fact the couple were eliminated in the first three weeks of the show. After being thrown off Kim ran back stage in tears to be comforted by her family.

Kim’s 28th birthday saw her celebrating with boyfriend Reggie Bush at the Alabama medical center this year when he was hospitalized with a knee injury. But determined not to completely miss the big day, Kim and Reggie celebrated a few days later, hosting a party at LAX nightclub inside Luxor Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada, along with sisters Kourtney and Khloe.

Kristy Swanson Biography

swansonApparently Kristy Swanson’s parents’ decision to allow their daughter to drop out of school at age thirteen and get home-tutored while she pursued an acting career has paid off. Throughout a career lasting nearly thirty years, Swanson has been in numerous commercials, television shows, and movies, and has also appeared in an issue of Playboy.
Swanson was born in Mission Viejo, California, on December 19, 1969, to Robert Swanson and Rosemary Albrecht, two physical education teachers. At the young age of nine, Swanson decided to pursue acting, and throughout the next four years, appeared in thirty commercials. At the age of thirteen, the decision was made that she would drop out of school to spend more time pursuing her career. Her parents home-schooled her for the remainder of her education.
Within a few years, Swanson and her parents’ dedication paid off as she began landing guest star spots on television shows such as Call of Duty and Cagney & Lacey. Her first film role followed in 1986, as she appeared in John Hughes’ Pretty in Pink along with Molly Ringwald, Andrew McCarthy, and Jon Cryer. That same year, she appeared in another John Hughes’ teenage film, Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, with Matthew Broderick.
Swanson’s first starring role in a film came with Wes Craven’s Deadly Friend, and she stuck with the horror flick genre, appearing in V.C. Andrews’ Flowers in the Attic. Swanson continued with her television roles as well, with guest stints on Valerie’s Family and Growing Pains, a recurring role on the nighttime soap Knots Landing, and made-for-television movies such as Not Quite Human. She then landed a permanent role as a nursing student in the series Nightingales, but it was short-lived.
After working with Charlie Sheen in Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, Swanson worked with him again in Hot Shots!, then appeared in the film Mannequin: On the Move with Meshach Taylor. She didn’t stray too far away from the horror genre though, as she appeared in Highway to Hell and played the title role in Buffy the Vampire Slayer with Donald Sutherland and Luke Perry. Paul Reubens starred in the movie as well, earning Swanson the right to finally work with him, as she was once slated to appear in Big Top Pee-Wee, until it was decided she was too young. When Buffy the Vampire Slayer made the switch to a television series, the role of Buffy was taken over by Sarah Michelle Gellar.
Three times proved to be the charm, as Swanson starred once again with Charlie Sheen, this time in The Chase, and then tried her hand at drama, with a starring role in Higher Learning. Swanson continued with starring roles in television and movies, yet none of them came close to having the success of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. For one season Swanson appeared on the series Early Edition with Kyle Chandler, and then finally met more success as she starred in Big Daddy with Adam Sandler. Swanson continued with comedies, appearing in Dude, Where’s My Car? with Ashton Kutcher and Seann William Scott.
Buffy appeared in the buff in 2002, as Swanson had a layout in Playboy. After, she didn’t appear to work as much, and when she did, it didn’t meet her earlier success. She agreed to appear on Skating With Celebrities, the ice version of Dancing With the Stars, and after meeting her skating partner, Lloyd Eisler, the two fell in love off the ice. Eisler’s wife was pregnant with their second child at the time, and she states that Lloyd and Swanson were committing adultery, but they have always contended that Eisler’s marriage was over way before they began their relationship.
In August 2006, Swanson announced she was pregnant with Eisler’s child, and on February 15, 2007, Magnus Hart Swanson Eisler was born. Swanson and Eisler say they will marry, but haven’t set a date yet.

Kari Byron Biography

kari_byronShe’s that adorable and friendly redheaded assistant on the popular Discovery Channel television program Mythbusters. But besides being a more or less reality TV star, few may know that Kari Byron is also a prominent artist based in San Francisco, California.
Kari Bryon was born on December 8, 1974, in San Francisco, and after high school attended San Francisco State University, majoring in sculpture and film. In May of 1998, she graduated with honors with her Bachelor of Arts degree.
After college graduation, Byron was involved in working on several notable art projects, traveled to Southeast Asia to go backpacking, and worked various odd jobs, such as a secret shopper for a known liquor company.
However, Byron remained a relatively unknown personality until she was offered the chance to regularly appear on the popular show Mythbusters, a reality-based TV program focusing on building projects to scientifically and actively test (and ultimately, to disprove) popular myths.
The show stars Jamie Hyneman and Adam Savage as the hosts. After Byron repeatedly showed up at Hyneman’s workshop looking for a job, Peter Rees, the show’s producer, asked her to help out with a particular project—regarding the vacuum plane toilet myth—which led to more guest appearances and then regular appearances in the show’s second season. Byron has since been mostly working with Mythbusters team members Grant Imahara and Tory Belleci.
However, Byron maintains that she is truly an artist at heart; particularly, through the art form of sculpting, in which she most often uses materials such as polymer clay, metals, wood, acrylic gouache, and other materials and objects.
Byron made her solo art exhibit debut, Stray Doll, in 2004 at the famous Anno Domini, a contemporary art gallery located in San Jose, California. Anno Domini was launched by graphic designers Brian Eder and Cherri Lakey, and has featured the work FriendMakers, a joint effort by artists Keith Knight, Michael Sieben, and Don Pendleton.
In June 2006, Byron was featured in a four-page spread of the American version of the popular monthly men’s magazine FHM, founded by Chris Astridge, and more than once, Byron has been invited by David Letterman to guest appear on his show, The Late Show with David Letterman.
Byron also has a pierced tongue, which can sometimes be seen when she’s featured on Mythbusters, and is also a vegetarian.
Byron has cited some of the SECCA (also known as the Southeastern Center for Contemporary Art) award winners as the artists responsible for her inspiration.

Rachel Hunter Biography

TWW-001770If you’ve flipped though a Sports Illustrated swimsuit magazine over the last decade, you’ve probably seen her sprawled across the sand, glistening sensually in the sun. Rachel Hunter has been modeling successfully for over fifteen years, and gets even more stunning and sexy with time.
Rachel Hunter was born in Auckland, New Zealand, on September 9, 1969. She began her modeling career at the age of seventeen and appeared in the most famous magazines in the world, including Vogue, Vanity Fair, Cosmopolitan, and the ever popular men’s magazine Sport’s Illustrated. Rachel Hunter would become Sport’s Illustrated’s swimsuit issue sweetheart and graced the covers and pages in some of the sexiest, skimpiest, stylish bathing suits ever. Men loved her beautiful body and women loved her natural, wholesome look.
Rachel Hunter somehow always manages to show off her voluptuous body with grace and finesse. Some have criticized her healthy figure, while others praise her for showing the world that looking wonderful means being healthy. Rachel Hunter made an impressive $1.8 million for posing topless in Playboy Magazine in 2004, proving that she was still stunning after giving birth to two children and despite her thirty-plus years of age.
Outside of modeling, Rachel Hunter has also appeared in many unsuccessful movies and a long list of television shows. Her movies are barely even worth mentioning as disappointing is probably the best way to describe them.
In America viewers caught her radiantly in motion on the popular Dancing with the Stars and later Hunter was the host for Britain’s hot reality series, Make Me a Supermodel in 2005. In 2006, Rachel had her own show on the WE channel called Style Me with Rachel Hunter.
The former model may be a Kiwi by birth, but she is an international citizen at heart. She is an animal activist and spokeswoman for wildlife preservation. Hunter is noted for her tremendous contributions to aid organizations across Africa. She spends a lot of time at charity events and causes for mankind.
Rachel has fought hard to prevent her relationships from defining her following a longtime romance and marriage to rocker Rod Stewart, and her many subsequent romantic encounters.
However, the shadows of her tabloid covered marriage demise, seemed to linger despite her efforts to dismiss all related publicity.
Rachel was just 21 when she married Stewart in London and together they had two children, Renee and Liam.
After the marriage ended in 1999 Rod was quoted as saying that he, ‘would rather have his penis cut off than cheat on his beloved Rachel’.
However, it was rumoured that he did cheat on her, and after their divorce he moved on to woo and wed yet another supermodel, Penny Lancaster. The public divorce was devastating to Rachel Hunter, who believed their romance would last forever.
Ironically, Hunter may have been replaced in Riod’s life by Lancaster but it was Hunter who went on to replace Lancaster as the 2004 cover girl and face of Ultimo lingerie of Scotland.
Since her divorce, Rachel Hunter has been linked to several celebrities such as Bruce Willis, Robbie Williams, heir Anthony de Rothschild and Canadian hockey star Sean Avery.
But just as Hunter thought her romantic life was on the right track with her relationship with yet another Canadian hockey star, Jarrett Stoll, all her dreams were dashed following Stoll’s last minute cancellation of their August 14th 2009 marrriage.
The couple had been dating for nearly two years and had become engaged and plans were well underway for their forthcoming nuptials when it appeared that Stoll got cold feet and called the whole thing off!
